Four fixed fees.

Each package covers a defined scope of work. What varies between packages is the complexity of your circumstances: the types of assets involved, any potential claims, and the legal risks.

The Clean Break

You’ve already agreed how to divide everything.

  • We put it in a binding agreement, with advice and certification.
  • Simple, uncontested matters only, we’ll tell you if yours needs more.
  • Usually completed within 4-6 weeks.

$3,500 to $4,500 + GST

The Guided Settlement

Settled by agreement, but with things to work through.

  • We negotiate the settlement for you and work to a fair outcome.
  • Covers business and trust assets, and a review of your will.
  • Most matters are settled within the first stage.

$7,950 to $12,500 + GST

The Contested Settlement

For a genuine dispute that has to be argued.

  • A maintenance or disparity claim, or a fight over what’s separate and what it’s worth.
  • Evidence, analysis and sustained negotiation.
  • We estimate the likely overall cost at your assessment.

from $15,000 to $25,000 + GST

The High-Stakes Settlement

For contested matters with significant value or complexity.

  • Trusts to unpick, urgent court applications, high conflict.
  • Priced individually to your matter.
  • We coordinate with your valuers, accountants and trustees.

from $25,000 + GST

Priced separately from the packages.

Application for marriage dissolution (joint or amicable)

The filing fee is payable directly to the Family Court and is not included.

$2,000 + GST

Application for marriage dissolution (unilateral)

The filing fee payable directly to the Family Court and the fee for service of documents are not included.

$3,500 + GST

KiwiSaver withdrawal application under the Property (Relationships) Act

The Family Court filing fee of $798 is payable directly to the court and is not included.

$2,350 + GST
